The ctleelab was selected for an Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) award. Special thanks to Cailyn Sakurai, Carolina Sarto, and Honor Akenuwa whose preliminary data were critical to the success of the proposal. This grant will support our work on studying how stressors influence mitochondria structure and function.

Dr. Carolina Sarto joins the lab as a postdoc. She joins us from the Arrar Group at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina where she recently completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry.
